[2020 Must-have Makeup Item] 5 Stars Reviewed Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Serum Crustal Elixir for Universal Skincare
Charlotte Tilbury’s Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, which launched on April 16, has already gathered a frontier of five-star reviews. The hydrating and anti-aging serum, and the companion lip oil, are the newest edition to the brand’s famous Magic line.
“I wanted to create universal skincare,” Charlotte Tilbury herself said during her hour-long virtual launch named Skincare is Self-care. “It was really important that I created a serum that would smooth out your pores, smooth fine lines that would give that baby smooth looking skin.”
During the event, the 47-year-old founder, who has worked with Victoria Beckham and Joan Collins, took viewers on a guided tour of the detailed benefits and dermatologically proven results of the new launch. She revealed that studies on the serum, taken by 31 men and women over eight weeks showed skin moisture levels were boosted by 172% and skin’s water loss was reduced by 43%.
The serum was launched in parallel with rumours that the brand will be sold this year for an estimated value of up to £1 billion. However, with Unilever, Estee Lauder and L’Oreal among the contending future parent companies, the sale has raised some ethical concerns on Instagram regarding the future of the cruelty-free status of the Charlotte Tilbury brand.
