The first blowout is if you love your red hair to look clean.

The second variation is if you want second-day hair which has a combination of products to give hair a lived-in feel and look.

The trick for both is to use a large curling iron to mimic the look of a round brush.

4. Section your hair into 4 layers with clips.

4. Working in approximately 1-inch sections, take your curling iron and run it over the section to smooth the hair first. When you get to the bottom of your hair, leave it under the clamp and roll it up about halfway up the length of the hair (the curling iron should be horizontal). Open the clamp slightly, just enough to relieve some pressure on the hair, and hold for about 5 to 10 seconds depending on the thickness of your hair and the section you’re working.

Note: The photo below is using a curling wand, instead of a curling iron with a clamp. Either can work to get the proper curl.

5. Repeat on the remaining sections and layers of hair until complete.

6. Finish with some hairspray and then run your fingers through your hair a bit to add a bit of body and extra ‘swish’.
